Unicorn Darts Youth Academy
The first of eight competitions penned for this year
takes place in Essex on the 8th May with over
30 Academy players ready to make the long trip east. The
coaching staff is working on developing players’
capacity to sustain concentration and performance levels
over a long day’s competition especially as many
youngsters will be making their competitive debut.

With only 4 points needed this week to retain the league
title, Wolves have set up a possible league and cup
double after defeating the Charlotte Flip Flops in the
semi final. On paper it should be a close match as their
opponents are long term rivals Boro Porkys who saw off
Merlin Magicians in the other semi.

Entries are still being accepted for the Keith Goacher
Classic Ranking Singles on Saturday 3rd May.
The competition is again sponsored by Jeff White and his
company J.M. White Plastering and is in honour of a
founder of the Invitation League and player who
represented Hampshire over 100 times.
Keith, his wife Sheila and Jeff will be on hand to
present more than £500 in prize money which is being
paid out down to the last 8. There is a £200 winners’
purse and with more than half of the 64 places already
being snapped up, players are encouraged to enter before
the closing date of 30th April. There is with
an entry fee of just £5 per player.

2008 TRANSPLUS Andover Invitation Darts
Classic
Paul Cook of Swindon produced a superbly consistent
display of darts to emerge as the Classic winner from a
quality field of 64. At a packed Entertainer last
Saturday, Cookie condemned Mark Walsh to a second
successive runners up spot by 3 sets to 1 in an
entertaining final that included 5 maximums and 61 ton
plus scores.
