Sharron
Bale Mixed Pairs Memorial
Sponsored by BTLS Hayley
Hampshire super
stars Kevin Ede and Steph Smee deservedly won the
inaugural Sharron Bale memorial but the event will
probably be remembered for a superb day of mixed darts
in Andover.
Nearly sixty pairs
packed the Entertainer last Saturday to create an
atmosphere that Sharron would have revelled in. Ede and
Smee, who reached the Lakeside world semi finals this
year, collected the crystal trophy and £200 winner’s
cheque after defeating the father and daughter
combination of Martin and Stephanie Richell from
Wiltshire in the final.
There was however,
much to cheer from an Andover perspective, Mark and
Teresa Thorne reached the semi finals as did Lesley
Perry who partnered Mark Cox the talented Swindon
thrower.
All four board
finalists were Andover representatives and while Andy
Deavall collected the highest check out prize, there was
over £200 raised for the British Heart Foundation.
